After taking a bit of time off from visiting Physique (read: I have not been to Physique in a year, omagah rilly? Time flies etc), and a bit of time off from barre in general (the last time I went to a barre class was at the end of March, almost two months ago) I thought it was time to gird my loins and dive back in to the barre pool headfirst. Erin is a new-ish instructor at the studio (the front desk told me she’d been with them about two months) and I thought she was pretty great, you guys, especially for a newb.... [More]
What’s up you guys? How’s your week been? Mine’s been busy. So busy, in fact, that I haven’t posted any class reviews in a few days (oh you, noticed? I’m blushing). I always have time to share new music, though, because music always makes me feel happy no matter how nuts life has become. Wanna know what one of the best things about writing for RYB is, you guys? The friends I’ve made! Sniffle. Over the past year and a half I’ve come to know instructors, readers, bloggers and other fitness enthusiasts that I regularly chat with now (or at least regularly stalk on their various social media accounts). RYB has also shown me the pleasure associated with working out with a group of friends; it’s just generally more fun to experience a sweat session with a pal groaning beside you. This week’s mix is a general mushy friend fest of sorts because I just LOVE YOU ALL SO MUCH.... [More]
Blake’s got a comedic streak in him, and energy up the wazoo. Conditioning classes that involve a cardio element are usually my least fave (I’d rather jump up and down punching myself in the face for 45 minutes than do things that involve bending my string bean body to touch the floor and then lift something over my head) but I dug Blake’s irreverence and the fact that he didn’t let a sorta low energy group slow his roll....
